This policy explains what personal information <%= site.legalName || site.name %> (“HK Logistics”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to send us:

Enquiry and quotation forms: your name, company name, email address, telephone number, and the transportation details you provide (pickup and delivery locations, goods type, approximate weight, vehicle type, required dates and any additional requirements or message).
Direct contact: anything you include when you email, call or message us using the details published on this site.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card details, bank account numbers, government identification numbers or passwords through this website.

Technical information

Our web server keeps standard access and error logs, which may include your IP address, the time of the request and the page requested. We also use the IP address of form submissions temporarily to apply rate limiting and block automated abuse. These records are used for security and troubleshooting only.

How we use your information

To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
To provide and administer transportation services you request.
To keep in contact with you about a movement that is in progress.
To protect this website against spam and abuse.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing you have not asked for.

Sharing

To carry out a movement we may need to share relevant details with the transport partners, fleet owners, drivers or rail operators engaged for your consignment, for example the pickup and delivery addresses and a site contact. We share the minimum needed to complete the work.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and loads no third-party tracking scripts. A single essential security cookie is set when you open a page with an enquiry form. It holds no personal information: it exists only to protect the form against cross-site request forgery, and it expires when you close your browser.

If an office location map is shown on the contact page, it is provided by Google Maps, and Google’s own privacy policy applies to that map.

Security

Enquiries submitted through this site are transmitted over HTTPS and delivered to our mailbox over an authenticated, encrypted mail connection. Access to enquiry data is limited to the staff who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us.

Retention

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of the services we have provided, and after that for as long as we are required to keep commercial records. Rate-limiting records are short-lived and are removed automatically.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to <% if (site.contact.email) { %><%= site.contact.email %><% } else { %><%- ph('Email') || 'us using the contact details on this website' %><% } %> and we will respond.

External links

Where this site links to another organisation’s website, that site’s own privacy policy applies once you leave ours.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The current version is always the one published on this page.
